Georgian troops pulling back

The latest news this morning quotes Georgian officials as saying that Georgian troops are withdrawing from South Ossetia.

This is likely because they have no hope of combatting an estimated 10,000 extra Russian troops and tanks that have been pouring in, with uninhibited air-support. Overnight, more military airfields were bombed, but no more civilian targets as far as I have been able to tell.

The American Embassy is beginning to bus people to Yerevan, Armenia starting today.
